The Atlantis Marine Park was opened on Boxing Day of 1981 at Two Rocks and was intended as a major tourist attraction. It included pools, water slides, performing dolphins and an aquatic park. King Neptune, a 10m high limestone sculpture by American artist Mark Le Buse, presided over the whole park, and is now a much-loved part of the Two Rocks community.

The park closed in 1990, but King Neptune still sits up on the hill and has an amazing view of the town and the beautiful beach.

The whole Sun City Precinct including the shopping centre, marina and water park site was added to the State Register of Heritage Places in January 2023.

Learnings from making this video were much the same as the other Two Rocks video, since they were shot on the same day:

– Use the microphones that we bought to reduce that nasty wind noise!

– Change the action cam aspect ratio

In Premiere Pro I also learned how to selectively reduce the volume of one audio track to allow the other to be heard, which I was pretty pleased with. Still have to practise that a bit more to make it more fluid, but it’s a start.

We tried using the drone to take a picture of ourselves from afar, but it’s not very sharp, so there is a bit more practise to be done in that department…

And of course, there must also be photography:
